Hertfordshire Vintage Fairs.
Dear Vintage Lovers
As of November 2012, I have decided I will no longer be organising any future Vintage Fairs. For almost 3 years they have been a really inspirational part of my life with creativity and imagination coming from both visitors to the fairs and my lovely stallholders - who have all played a major part in their success.
Latterly, Vintage has become High Street and Vintage Fairs have become quite the norm...some far better than others...leaving us all jostling to fit in somewhere. Inevitably our fair customers have much more choice and our particularly bouyant visitor numbers have become diluted.
It has all been great fun - even my very first fair on a January wintry morning - with me and all my new stallholders standing outside Harpenden Public Halls waiting for the caretaker to NOT arrive....seems like an hilarious incident now...but at the time all I wanted to do was turn around, go home and bury my head under the covers!
I think of my fairs with nothing but fondness - I have met some really great people along the way of whose talent and outlook I am very much in awe. These people will of course keep doing their thing in a way in which only they know how. To them I shall be ever grateful - and to the wider public, the people who read this, I know will be too.
The name - Hertfordshire Vintage Fairs - remains under my wing.
Thank you for supporting me over the years - it is truly meant and appreciated. X
